Many of us spend a lot of time sitting at a desk or in front of a computer. All that sitting isn’t great for your back, neck or legs. These 3 yoga poses can help you bounce back!
Urdhva Tadasana – Upward Salute
Place your feet together and make your legs firm. Raise your arms overheard, make sure your shoulders are moving away from your ears and begin to open your heart up towards the sky. Join the palms of your hands together and gaze upwards, make sure there is no strain on the neck.
Adho Mukha Svanasana – Downward Facing Dog
Plant your hands firmly into the ground, about shoulder width apart. Set your knees directly below your hips. Lift your bottom up and try to stretch your heels down towards the floor. Let your head hang and the back of your neck be soft.
Vrksasana with a friend – Tree Pose with a friend
Stand side by side. Hold each other around the waist and focus on a point in front of you. Then simultaneously raise your opposite leg and place it on your thigh. Get your balance and slowly raise your arm up to meet your partners. Hold for a few moments or as long as you can without falling, then swap sides. It’s fun!
